Approach Change

From Within

Every living organism has a Lifecycle. Stars, the solar system, plants, and people.  They are born, and go through predictable stages during their life. Organisations are exactly the same, they are born and also move through predictable stages.

At every stage of the Lifecycle organisations are faced with a different set of challenges. and the manner in which Executive Teams react to those challenges, determines the long term sustainability (or not) of the organisation.

Corporate Lifecycles MD has developed a set of sophisticated tools and processes, allowing Executive Teams to work through these challenges; effectively and efficiently, to get the organisation to “Prime''; which is the only stage in the Lifecycle where the organisation is Aligned, Results Oriented, Follows Effective Systems and Policies, has Plans and Follows them.

(The tools are based on the Methods and Concepts of the Adizes Methodology, originally developed by Ichak Adizes, probably the foremost Management Thinker in the world today.)

About the Methodology

Approach Change From Within

Leading an organisation through lifecycle transitions is not easy, or obvious. The same methods that produce success in one stage can create failure in the next. Fundamental changes in leadership and management are all required, with an approach that delicately balances the amount of control and flexibility needed for each stage. Leaders who fail to understand what is needed (and not needed) can inhibit the development of their companies or plunge them into premature aging.

The challenges that every organisation must overcome at each stage of development first manifest themselves as problems that arise from the growth and success of the company and from external
changes in markets, competitors, technology and the general business and political environment.

Learning Circles with Pre, During & Post Modules

For companies to be successful in the short and the long term there are only four management roles that need to be provided.

Together they are sufficient, and individually they are necessary to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of the business.

Different executives have different personal styles in the way they manage.

The session outlines the Ideal Manager, why you cannot be one as (no-one can) and how you can learn to manage the conflicts created by different styles.

If you have ever wondered why you cannot effectively implement or execute the decisions
you have made, this session will show you how
to predict successful implementation by how
the implementation team is constructed.

Do you have people on the team, not your friends and people you like, but a team which possesses Authority, (to say Yes and No),
Power (to grant or withhold agreement) and finally Influence (the ability to make someone do something without using Power or Influence and to be the recognised expert in the business or organisation that people trust).

When these three elements are Coalesced on a team, you have CAPI, when you have CAPI you have the effective implementation of the original decision or task.

Potential Improvement Points (PIP's)

Change is Constant Today

Change provides "Opportunities and Threats".  As soon as you exploit opportunities and limit threats it causes more change.  When we lead change we do it by looking for "Potential Improvement Points" in an Organisation's processes. We call them PIPs.

A Potential Improvement Point for the Business. The PIP can be company wide or focus on a KEY BUSINESS FUNCTION within the company e.g. SALES.

By listing PIPs and analysing their CAUSES
we can set in motion a TRANSFORMATION
process for the business and organisation.
